Shire, an emerging group from Brisbane / Meanjin, launch their debut single “Decay” at Mirroball Ministries on the night of June 12, hosting an evening full of heavy to ethereal soundscapes and atmosphere.

Blending heavy, shimmering guitars with melodic hooks and washed-out ambience, Shire sits somewhere between alternative rock/pop, with dream-pop and shoegaze-y undertones. “Decay” marks the band’s first official single release: a track built around bright melancholy, layered guitars, and an emotional pull that moves between intimate and expansive.

Joining Shire on the night are friends Taillight and Vondetto, bringing a heavier indie-rock edge to the lineup and rounding out a bill of emerging local alternative acts.

Doors open at 7:00 pm, with tickets just $10.
